MINIMUM POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Write and maintain all content associated with World Fishing Network’s partnership with the America’s Great Waters program, which is maintained on the network’s digital platform.
  • Assist with the management and execution of all creative projects and assets.
  • Assist with the execution and fulfillment of sales & advertising linear and digital contracts.
  • Assist with the execution and fulfillment of contests, promotions and general marketing programs as dictated by annual World Fishing Network brand campaigns.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be available 20-29 hours per week. This is a paid position.

  • Point person for research for  Altitude Sports & Entertainment and KSE
  • Working directly with Nielsen Media Research on a daily basis to ensure all data received is accurate and timely by analyzing overnight rating reports, weekly rating reports and monthly Viewers in Profile reports.
  • Provide necessary research information such as Nielsen and Scarborough data as needed by Ad Sales, Marketing, Programming and Affiliate Relations Departments for presentation to advertising agencies, advertisers and vendors.
  • Order entry of World Link orders into Wide Orbit traffic system.
  • Manage necessary make goods, credits with World Link
  • Oversee the Wide Orbit Media sales posting system and working with WO to ensure the system is meeting our needs.

  • Backup Sales Assistants in day to day functions

 MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Provides Quality Control and Segmenting of WFN programming and media.
  • Coordinates WFN Programs and materials ingest with Altitude Operations for Channel Playout. and archive.
  • Addresses technical compliance issues with WFN 3rd party broadcast partners, program suppliers and advertisers.
  • Enters program segment timing specifics into database.
  • Facilitates closed captioning.

MINIMUM POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs technical and editorial checks on programs airing on channel as required by established guidelines.
  • Views shows in order of priority and air dates.
  • Checks shows for overall quality of video, audio levels, and editing.
  • Checks shows for editorial content and whether or not the time format guidelines were followed.
  • Keeps an accurate log of show segment in and out points, and a list of producer commercial spots, including our commercial available slots.
  • Files finished printed logs in the appropriate locations on server.
  • Keeps in contact with Traffic department, Master Control, Media Coordinator and immediate supervisor about any errors, problems or set-backs.
  • Delivers approved media files and accompanying commercial logs to the Ingest department.
  • Delivers show timing information to Traffic department.
  • Keeps in contact with superiors on shows that need further review and approval, and follows up to ensure replacement or corrections have been made.
  • Assists others in the department as needed.
  • Performs minor technical fixes to shows as approved by supervisor using Final Cut Pro/Adobe Premiere editing software.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College Degree preferred
  • One or more years of experience in a broadcast QC environment
  • Ability to organize and work in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Television Programming
  • Familiarity with MAC workstations and Post-Production Edit Software (e.g. Adobe CC)
  • Familiarity with broadcast systems including VTRs, transcoders, routers, servers, test equipment, KVMs, air-stream and automation systems

MINIMUM POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Functional knowledge and experience in broadcast production and network operational workflows. Knowledge of how other departmental activities integrate with, rely on and or support master control operations.
  • Operational knowledge of broadcast production equipment and technologies related to master control operations and network channel origination including but not limited to: production switchers and routers, VTRs, server based ingest/recording/playback devices and related software applications, channel automation software, network branding devices and associated keyer control systems, intercoms, etc…
  • A solid understanding of broadcast production techniques related to audio, video signal and related meta-data measurement, manipulation, playout and monitoring.
  • Responsibility for manipulation of daily channel logs, adherence to programming protocols and reporting of playout and shift activities, errors and discrepancies.
  • Experience in problem solving and troubleshooting techniques related to channel playout systems and procedures in order to rapidly and efficiently predict, avoid and correct problems.
  • Effective communication skills with all departments, staff and clients in order to communicate potential, real and or related issues, concerns or problems with content or network delivery. 
  • Strong personal organization, prioritization, time management and planning skills are required.
  • Participation in training programs for technical development related to equipment, software, workflow changes and or company policies and procedures.
