MINIMUM POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs technical and editorial checks on programs airing on channel as required by established guidelines.
  • Views shows in order of priority and air dates.
  • Checks shows for overall quality of video, audio levels, and editing.
  • Checks shows for editorial content and whether or not the time format guidelines were followed.
  • Keeps an accurate log of show segment in and out points, and a list of producer commercial spots, including our commercial available slots.
  • Files finished printed logs in the appropriate locations on server.
  • Keeps in contact with Traffic department, Master Control, Media Coordinator and immediate supervisor about any errors, problems or set-backs.
  • Delivers approved media files and accompanying commercial logs to the Ingest department.
  • Delivers show timing information to Traffic department.
  • Keeps in contact with superiors on shows that need further review and approval, and follows up to ensure replacement or corrections have been made.
  • Assists others in the department as needed.
  • Performs minor technical fixes to shows as approved by supervisor using Final Cut Pro/Adobe Premiere editing software.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College Degree preferred
  • One or more years of experience in a broadcast QC environment
  • Ability to organize and work in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Television Programming
  • Familiarity with MAC workstations and Post-Production Edit Software (e.g. Adobe CC)
  • Familiarity with broadcast systems including VTRs, transcoders, routers, servers, test equipment, KVMs, air-stream and automation systems
  • Familiarity with content delivery methods and systems including FTP, Aspera, Extreme Reach, Vantage, Fiber and Satellite

  • Assist Production Management staff in all areas of production
  • Storytelling and writing for features and original programming
  • Edit features, highlights, teases and voice-over sessions.

  • Serve as Producer for some original programming, including Altitude Sports Summit series and professional team ancillary programming, collaborating with Production Management and Talent.

  • Assist with tape dubbing and distribution, logging video
  • Assist as production technician for studio programs and event telecasts when needed in various roles.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma required
  • College degree in Production, Broadcasting or Communications areas is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in Production and/or Broadcasting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years of working as a Production Assistant or Production Coordinator.
  • General understanding of broadcasting or regional sports network.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of sports.
  • Computer knowledge in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of non-linear editing, Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premier editing system is preferred.

OUTDOOR CHANNEL

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST I
REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF PAYROLL/ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
LOCATION: DENVER, COLOARDO

MINIMUM POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare invoices for payment including entering into accounting software, current systems used are DocLinks, Great Plains and ReqLogic.
  • Opens all incoming mail and distributes to correct personnel.
  • Review invoices for accuracy, ensuring that duplicate invoices are not processed.
  • Matches invoices with PO’s and Receivers, and distributes to correct approvers.
  • Obtain proper authorization of invoice prior to payment.
  • Maintain an organized filing system for all invoices processed.
  • Respond to queries from vendors on status of invoice payment.
  • Research payment activity for older, disputed items.
  • Obtains proper documentation to maintain the Vendor Master file.
  • Help to verify the 1099 totals for all qualified vendors.
  • Assists auditors for any inquiries related to accounts payable questions.
  • Processes checks for all AP items upon due dates.
  • Creates uploads for the positive pay system into the AP bank account.
  • Processes Voids on an as needed basis.
  • Maintains the archiving and filing of prior years’ records.
  • Process Purchase Orders, including coding to correct department and expense lines as they are requested.
  • Maintain Purchase Order log
  • Communicate the Approved Purchase Order Number to the requestor once it has went through the approval process.
  • Prepare all checks once they have been processed and signed for mail delivery.
  • Purchasing Cards reviews on a monthly basis, verifying that all documents have been included in the folder
  • Maintain files for Purchasing Cards by month of all users

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

  • Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software programs; Word and Excel required.
  • Ability to organize and work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate successfully with people at many levels within the company as well as with vendors, clients, etc.
  • General ledger knowledge and financial analysis skills a must.

Education or Formal Training:

  • High School diploma required.
  • Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred.

Experience:

  • Accounts Payable Specialist Level I – Generally requires two to five years of experience working in accounts payable or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Material and Equipment Used:

  • General office equipment including copier, fax, phone, computer/keyboard, etc.

  • Stand up to 1/3 of time.

  • Functional knowledge and experience in broadcast production and network operational workflows. Knowledge of how other departmental activities integrate with, rely on and or support master control operations.
  • Operational knowledge of broadcast production equipment and technologies related to master control operations and network channel origination including but not limited to: production switchers and routers, VTRs, server based ingest/recording/playback devices and related software applications, channel automation software, network branding devices and associated keyer control systems, intercoms, etc…
  • A solid understanding of broadcast production techniques related to audio, video signal and related meta-data measurement, manipulation, playout and monitoring.
  • Responsibility for manipulation of daily channel logs, adherence to programming protocols and reporting of playout and shift activities, errors and discrepancies.
  • Experience in problem solving and troubleshooting techniques related to channel playout systems and procedures in order to rapidly and efficiently predict, avoid and correct problems.
  • Effective communication skills with all departments, staff and clients in order to communicate potential, real and or related issues, concerns or problems with content or network delivery. 
  • Strong personal organization, prioritization, time management and planning skills are required.
  • Participation in training programs for technical development related to equipment, software, workflow changes and or company policies and procedures.  

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two to four years of previous master control experience
  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
