MINIMUM POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Functional knowledge and experience in broadcast production and network operational workflows. Knowledge of how other departmental activities integrate with, rely on and or support master control operations.
  • Operational knowledge of broadcast production equipment and technologies related to master control operations and network channel origination including but not limited to: production switchers and routers, VTRs, server based ingest/recording/playback devices and related software applications, channel automation software, network branding devices and associated keyer control systems, intercoms, etc…
  • A solid understanding of broadcast production techniques related to audio, video signal and related meta-data measurement, manipulation, playout and monitoring.
  • Responsibility for manipulation of daily channel logs, adherence to programming protocols and reporting of playout and shift activities, errors and discrepancies.
  • Experience in problem solving and troubleshooting techniques related to channel playout systems and procedures in order to rapidly and efficiently predict, avoid and correct problems.
  • Effective communication skills with all departments, staff and clients in order to communicate potential, real and or related issues, concerns or problems with content or network delivery. 
  • Strong personal organization, prioritization, time management and planning skills are required.
  • Participation in training programs for technical development related to equipment, software, workflow changes and or company policies and procedures.  

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two to four years of previous master control experience
  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software programs; Word and Excel preferred
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility to alter shifts/days off to accommodate projects and departmental objectives.

MINIMUM POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of all TV production equipment and technology within Master Control operating areas, including but not limited to: network switching devices and associated automation software, network branding devices and associated keyer control systems, server based playback devices and related software applications, server based ingest/recording/playback devices, TV Production routers, etc.
  • Advanced understanding of TV Production methods of measuring audio and video signals to ensure quality control over multiple channels.
  • Thorough understanding of production operations workflow across all networks.  Technical responsibilities and processes, including but not limited to; manipulation of daily air logs, protocol for live programs, intercom communication procedures, etc. Firsthand knowledge of how other departments integrate with and support master control.
  • Proven experience in problem solving and troubleshooting techniques and effective communication with all supporting departments to best convey the issues necessary for resolution.
  • Efficient prioritization skills in the area of time management, which is fundamental in meeting daily, live TV Production deadlines. Demonstrated organizational, efficiency and planning skills are required.
  • Participation and provide training for required administrative tasks including, but not limited to, the effective utilization of all software based applications, as well as creation and distribution of daily shift reporting and discrepancy reporting.
  • Provide training/re-training and guidance for all Master Control Operators. 
  • Execute directive from superiors and client representatives.
  • Point of contact and technical facilitator for operational changes/additions per client request.
  • Delegation of shift tasking and defining responsibilities for Master Control Operators.
  • Fulfilling designated duties for disaster recovery; execution of emergency plans including but not limited to notification and establishing phone conference bridge.
  • Following and creating departmental standard operating procedures; knowledge of client standard operating procedures.
  • Leading through example by demonstrating proper work habits: following established procedures and rules.
  • Proven command of all aspects of playout for all client networks and knowledge of channel specific contacts for specific needs.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of previous elevated master control experience
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to organize and function in a faced paced work environment

  • Process journal entries for revenue and cash receipts.
  • Create and distribute invoices for all companies.
  • Research account issues, assist with collections, and coordinate with applicable sales representatives.
  • Prepare/gather all necessary information for new customers, including reference checks, setting up new customer files, and maintaining new customer logs.
  • Complete credit analyses and assist in reviewing new clients to determine credit limits.
  • Post and reconcile customer payments to the general ledger and sub ledgers.

GENERAL PURPOSE

Street Team members act primarily as in-game promoters of Altitude Sports &Entertainment. Most work will take place at the Altitude kiosk, located on the first concourse of the Pepsi Center. This booth serves as a multi-purpose station for fan interaction, highlighted by a “spin-to-win” prize wheel, TV, and I-Pad for Facebook and Twitter. In addition to promoting Altitude and its pro products, Street Team members are asked to familiarize themselves with other Altitude programming and channel information, as well as trivia about the teams and sports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary duties consist of, but are not limited to, staffing the Altitude kiosk during Avalanche, Nuggets, and Mammoth home games. Street Team members are expected to engage and inform fans of everything Altitude has to offer: events, programming, channel information, WFN etc. Fans are encouraged to watch Altitude, follow us on Facebook and Twitter, and visit our website.

  • Handing out merchandise and engaging with fans.
  • Answering questions
  • Facebook and Twitter application available on I-Pad for fans to “like” us right then

OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • We require you to work a minimum of 5-6 games per month, for a 2.5 hour time block.
  • During the season there may be a number of special promotions/events that they may be asked to work.
  • Highly flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is a must
