  • Oversee and manage client’s Channel Managers, Media Coordinators and QC staff

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

  • Ability to organize, work and delegate in a fast paced broadcast environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel within KSE and Altitude as well as with clientele, vendors and broadcast partners

Education or Formal Training:

  • College degree required; business, broadcasting or communications focus is preferred.

Experience:

  • Assist in maintaining ledgers, credit balances, and resolving account discrepancies.

MINIMUM POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Liaises with OC Management to ensure timely delivery of program schedules, daily traffic logs, feed schedules and program reception information, and any other information required to facilitate accurate channel playout.
  • Liaises with OC Management to ensure timely delivery of all content required for channel playout including: program and promotional materials, advertising content, graphical content or any other miscellaneous elements from OC and its broadcast partners, program suppliers and advertisers.
  • Manages OC tasks and workflows and coordinates with Altitude Operations Group to facilitate daily OC playout.
  • Coordinates and implements channel operations procedures as applied to OC at ANOC. 
  • Liaises with OC’s 3rd party broadcast partners, program suppliers and advertisers as needed.
  • Schedules and oversees closed captioning for OC.
  • Maintains quality control standards for all OC programming. Identifies potential programming problems and reports back to OC and Altitude Operations as/when necessary.
  • Coordinates technical processes, events and changes with Altitude Engineering and Operations Groups.
  • Coordinates with Altitude Affiliate Sales Group regarding OC IRD authorization
  • Addresses technical compliance issues with OC 3rd party broadcast partners, program suppliers and advertisers.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with Broadcast Scheduling and Traffic system software(s)
  • Knowledge of broadcast and production equipment.
  • Ability to organize and work in a fast-paced, dynamic and deadline oriented environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Five or more years’ experience in broadcasting operations and programming grid management.

MINIMUM POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs technical and editorial checks on programs airing on channel as required by established guidelines.
  • Views shows in order of priority and air dates.
  • Checks shows for overall quality of video, audio levels, and editing.
  • Checks shows for editorial content and whether or not the time format guidelines were followed.
  • Keeps an accurate log of show segment in and out points, and a list of producer commercial spots, including our commercial available slots.
  • Files finished printed logs in the appropriate locations on server.
  • Keeps in contact with Traffic department, Master Control, Media Coordinator and immediate supervisor about any errors, problems or set-backs.
  • Delivers approved media files and accompanying commercial logs to the Ingest department.
  • Delivers show timing information to Traffic department.
  • Keeps in contact with superiors on shows that need further review and approval, and follows up to ensure replacement or corrections have been made.
  • Assists others in the department as needed.
  • Performs minor technical fixes to shows as approved by supervisor using Final Cut Pro/Adobe Premiere editing software.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College Degree preferred
  • One or more years of experience in a broadcast QC environment

  • A solid understanding of broadcast production techniques related to audio, video signal and related meta-data measurement, manipulation, playout and monitoring.
  • Responsibility for manipulation of daily channel logs, adherence to programming protocols and reporting of playout and shift activities, errors and discrepancies.
  • Experience in problem solving and troubleshooting techniques related to channel playout systems and procedures in order to rapidly and efficiently predict, avoid and correct problems.

  • Process network channel content via signal test & measurement for accuracy and adherence to technical specification, signal routing and file reception and delivery, multiple source primary and backup recording, and ensuring presence and or processing of accurate closed captions and metadata assignments.  
  • Responsible for adherence to programming protocols and reporting of ingest and shift activities, errors and discrepancies.

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Develop award-winning broadcast design elements for Creative Services, Production, Advertising Sales, Affiliate Sales and Marketing.  This includes concept development, graphic design, animation and production.  The elements should fit seamlessly into the overall look and attitude of the network.  Strong creativity, excellent communication skills, and ability to multi-task are a must.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with Creative Director and Creative Services Director to develop cohesive look for all on-air elements
  • Design and create elements used in all areas of Creative Services Department including game elements, commercial and sponsorship, on-air promotions, public service announcements, community relations pieces
  • Develop the look, feel, and design for motion projects under the guidance of the Creative Director and Creative Services Director
  • Create samples and make recommendations on new looks for elements
  • Composition of multiple elements as requested 
  • Produce elements as requested
  • Understand brand and marketing objectives, contributing to the evolution and success of the overall business
  • Keep informed on new technology
  • Develop layouts and storyboards
  • Other projects or duties as requested to assist in Creative Services Department

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

  • Excellent design skills
  • Well-versed in Adobe Creative Cloud software including After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premier.  Strong knowledge of Cinema 4D a must.  Proficient in Final Cut preferred.
  • Ability to generate multiple compositions for both in and out-of-house clients
  • Must be able to install hardware, software programs, and have the knowledge to troubleshoot computer issues
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Comprehensive knowledge of sports is preferred
  • Flexibility of schedule/days and hours is essential

Education or Formal Training:

  • High school diploma required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphics Design is preferred  or similar work experience

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in Graphics Design and/or Production or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • General office equipment including copier, fax, phone, computer/keyboard, etc.
