The National Hockey League’s deal with Versus states that no regional sports network may air an NHL game during the same time window as a game that’s broadcast nationally on Versus.

Tonight's Avalanche at Leafs game is occurring during the same time as the game on Versus between Detroit and Buffalo this evening. Even though the Avalanche game is not being aired on Versus, Altitude is bound by this national television exclusivity agreement that Versus has with the NHL and cannot broadcast tonight's game.

Versus is not available on DIRECTV at this time and we know that DIRECTV customers are concerned about missing Colorado Avalanche games.
